Post-Secondary Scholarships

Who Can Apply

The scholarship is open to the following students who are finishing high school and entering their first year of university, college or another institute of higher learning on a full-time basis:

  • Children and grandchildren as well as dependent children and grandchildren of UCTE members in good standing, retired members and deceased members.
  • Children and dependent children of UCTE national office staff.

Requirements

To qualify, you must also meet the following requirements:

  • A standing of 70% or higher in subjects required for entrance to university, college or a recognized institute of higher learning.
  • Proof of registration in a full-time program at university, college or a recognized institute of higher learning.
  • An essay between 1,000 and 1,500 words on the following topic: What I foresee as the role of organized labour in the future.
