UCTE is proud to have awarded two scholarships in 2025 to post-secondary students among our members and their families.
In May, UCTE awarded Dixie Modde $2500 under the Christine Collins Memorial Scholarship. Dixie is a member of local 20024 at North Peace Airport. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce through Thompson Rivers University by correspondence.
The Christine Collins scholarship is to support post-secondary education or other activities that enhance our members’ ability to promote the women’s movement within the union.

In the fall UCTE awarded a post-secondary scholarship of $2500 to Joshua Philip Healey (pictured) who is studying Engineering at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
The post-secondary scholarships are available to children and grandchildren of UCTE members in good standing who are entering their first year of university, college, or another institute of higher learning on a full-time basis. (Please see more details on eligibility at the link below.)
Congratulations to both students and their families!
Essays from their applications for the scholarship are posted below.
Information and application forms for our 2026 scholarships will be posted here when available.
