Monday, September 30, 2019, two people were on a cruise ship to the port of Quebec. They jumped out. The reasons for why are still an assumption that they wanted to stay in Canada.
They had jumped out of the Celebrity Summit, a cruise ship that arrived at the port on Sunday morning. The confirmation is made of the member of the ship’s crew “Two crew members left the vessel without permission while descending into the water.”

At approximately 5:40 a.m., an employee from the Port of Quebec first rescued a 27-year-old man. It was after hearing screams that our member managed to get the individual back safe and sound. The second individual, a 36-year-old man, was rescued around 7 a.m., five kilometres away. It was eradicated from the waters by the Canadian Coast Guard, with the assistance of firefighters. The second individual is miraculously alive. He was taken to hospital for symptoms of hypothermia. Our members, who took action on this rescue, came from the Quebec Rescue Rescue Station and the icebreaker CCGS Amundsen.
According to TVA Nouvelles, the two individuals are from Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates. One of them had his identity papers.
