On behalf of the Union of Canadian Transportation Employees (UCTE), I would like to express our deepest condolences following the tragic aviation incident (Flight AC8646) that occurred this weekend in New York.
Our thoughts are with all those affected — the individuals who lost their lives, the survivors, and their families and loved ones who are facing unimaginable grief. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the first responders, emergency personnel, and aviation and airport personnel, whose courage and dedication continue to support those impacted during this difficult time.
Moments like these remind us of the profound importance of community, compassion, and solidarity. Across our union and beyond, we stand together in support of all those affected by this tragedy.
