The school year is finished for most children and post-secondary students, and most offices are getting into summer vacation season.
Members who are taking annual leave in the next couple of months, enjoy! Our activists and union officers, you have been working hard too in your roles. Rest and recharge with family and friends, you’ve earned this break, and we hope you can unplug and unwind.
Of course, the work our members do on behalf of Canadians is just as critical in summer vacation season. If you’re travelling on domestic rail or civilian air, or by sea, recognize that the hard work of your UCTE siblings is keeping you and your family safe!
Remember those who aren’t in vacation season. For example, many of our Coast Guard Search and Rescue workers and Parks members are entering their busiest season. Say a special hello if you see fellow UCTE members on your travels and have fun!
