To our UCTE family,
On behalf of myself and my children, I want to express our heartfelt thanks to UCTE and to everyone who contributed to the generous donations collected for our family following our house fire.
Losing our home has been one of the most difficult experiences our family has ever faced. There are so many things that come with a loss like this that you simply cannot prepare for. During a time filled with uncertainty and major changes for our family, the kindness and generosity shown to us by our union family has meant more than I can properly put into words.
The financial support has helped us tremendously as we work toward rebuilding our lives, but just as important has been knowing that so many people were thinking about us and wanted to help. It is something my children and I will never forget.
Being part of UCTE has always meant more to me than simply belonging to a union. This experience has shown us what the word solidarity truly means. When one of our own was going through a difficult time, people stepped forward to help without hesitation. That kind of support is incredibly humbling.
To everyone who donated, helped organize the collection, reached out, or simply kept our family in your thoughts—thank you. Please know how deeply grateful we are for everything you have done for us.
My kids and I are slowly moving forward and looking ahead to better days. Knowing that we have such an incredible group of people standing behind us has made that journey a little easier.
