UCTE delegations turned out strong at PSAC regional conferences this year.
PSAC Quebec Region held its triennial convention May 22–24 in Quebec City. PSAC B.C. was May 22–24 in Victoria. Four UCTE members were elected to the BC Regional Council: Chad Duggan (Local 20220), Daniel Critch (20219), Kelp Watson (20088), and Barney Hynes (20232).
The North Region conference was held May 29–31 in Whitehorse; the National Capital Region June 4–7 in Ottawa. At the Prairies Region conference June 5–7 in Calgary, Amanda Wakeford (Local 30301) was elected to the Regional Council with Shawn Trotman (50602) elected as alternate and Clay Westover (50600 President) as second alternate. Erick Barba (30094) was elected as an alternate on the racialized members action committee.
Ontario Region conference was June 12–14 in Toronto. The Atlantic Region’s conference took place June 26–28 in Halifax, where Local 60602 President Nicolas Maltais was elected Provincial Director for New Brunswick.
