UCTE was well-represented by equity activists at PSAC’s National Equity conferences, May 3–7 in Winnipeg.
Christa Maloney, President of Local 90915, says “I was honoured to attend the conference under the theme ‘Intersections of Power: Lifting Every Voice.’ We continued important conversations, strengthened connections, and learned from the experiences of others across our union.”
The four conferences are the Racialized Members Conference, Access Conference, Pride Conference, and Indigenous Peoples Conference. Members attended equity-specific workshops, debated resolutions, and took part in elections.
We thank our members who continue to advocate for better equity, both at work and in the union.
